Government Video Expo 2014

On December 2-4, 2014, I will be attending the Government Video Expo 2014 being held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

As I have done in the past few years, I like going to the Government Video Expo because I know that this is where Video, Production, Streaming, Audio Visual (AV), and Broadcast Technology intersect. It is Washington’s largest technology event for pro video, broadcast, and AV professionals. It is also where we learn cutting-edge video technologies and techniques.

Under the GV Expo umbrella, two programs are offered at the event. These programs are “designed to teach, enlighten, and inspire attendees focusing on two different areas within the video industry”.

I intend to take advantage of the opportunity “to get hands on with the latest video gear in an exhibit hall featuring about 100 suppliers, dealers and distributors.” I also expect to attend free special events and networking opportunities to further my knowledge, even career and mission. This important technology event reinforces my interests in AV solutions, in shooting, editing, posting, storing and distributing video.

Most of the expected attendees are Federal, state and local government employees, officials and contractors; Military video specialists; Law enforcement; Broadcast and video/film professionals; Video producers and freelancers; and Editors and post production specialists.

I am attending it as a credentialed member of the Press representing the Asian Journal USA. Knowledge acquired and networking opportunities gained would be gladly shared to our readers and interested parties.
