PRODUCT REVIEWS (For DADs and KIDS)

As Father’s Day approaches, I receive a Press Release from my favorite PR agent Karen Thomas whose firm bearing her name is the top PR firm for Consumer Technology products.  This is immediately followed by the delivery of a couple of sample products for review.

I find the two technology products interesting for they cater to different generations – one for Dads and the other for Kids or Grandkids.  Both qualify as great gifts on Father’s Day.

 SensoGlove

This is a golf glove.  Dads who love to play golf and want to improve their game would definitely like to receive this as a gift.

This is the only golf glove in the market with a built-in digital computer.  It is also the only golf glove that monitors a golfing Dad’s grip pressure throughout his swing.

Golfers know that a lighter grip improves distance and accuracy with every club, including chipping and putting.  Continuous grip monitoring through the built-in computer would assist in training or practicing a lighter grip.

The presence of a digital computer is not annoying.  It is lightweight and can be removed and replaced without removing the glove – functional only when needed.

SensoGlove “looks, feels, and works just like a regular golf glove,” so a golfing Dad can use it for practice or play.  In fact, SensoGlove can be and has been used for backyard practice, on the driving range, or during an actual round.

Practicing with this glove teaches you the correct grip pressure for a smooth, consistent swing that delivers greater distance, enhanced precision, and lower scores.

Golfing Dads should have it as a Father’s Day gift as they watch and dream of playing at the coming U.S. Open!

KIDZ GEAR VOLUME LIMITED HEADPHONES for KIDS

The other product sent to me for review is a wired headphone distributed by Kidz Gear with a limited volume for use by kids.

In a Day Care Center managed by a friend in my neighborhood, I usually lend an iPod with several playlists pre-recorded.   Very popular among the kids, which include babies, is a song “Heavy” by Jason Myles Goss.  I purposely limit the volume for safety as I attach a wireless speaker so everybody can listen and dance.  It was such a hit among them that every time I visit, those who can speak shout “Heavy” the moment they see me.

When I received the sample product for review, I visited the Day Care Center to test the product among the kids with the right age.   I connected the Volume Limited Headphone to the iPod, and placed it on one kid’s ear.  The child started listening, smiling and dancing to the tune of “Heavy”.

I understand that the Kidz Gear Volume Limited Headphone is the first adult-featured stereo headphone made specifically for kids.   I tested it myself and it really delivers great, rich sound quality for music and even audio books be they MP3s or contents coming from smartphones, tablets, radio, Game Players and other mobile devices.  They are touted as the safest headphones for kids’ use in the market.  If you are looking for something to keep your kids still while in the car, at home, or on the plane, this is definitely a good one to try.

It is designed to fit the little heads of children.  It is also adjustable for those whose heads are a little bigger.  They come in different beautiful colors.

The box sent to me for review includes a headphone carry bag and splitter cable.  The latter allows the other kids to listen to the same music that the headphone user is listening to.

It is reasonably priced.  I recommend it for Parents to buy either for their children or as gifts to others.
